LAST CALL for Artist Exchange '09
Are your business muscles in shape? A recent back injury reminded me of how interconnected our muscles are. The stiffness of my back forced me to use different leg muscles to walk, different chest muscles to breathe, a whole variety of different muscles just to boost myself out of a chair. My whole body was affected. Could I have prevented it? Probably, through toning and exercise. If one part of your business is "injured" or suffering, it can affect your overall performance. As my doctor said, "preventative care is the best medicine." How would you tone your business "muscles"? Are your income projections realistic? Is your production process as buff as it could be? Has your marketing plan gone flabby? Take it from this impatient patient: Keeping all aspects of your business in top shape is a lot less painful than hobbling (ouch) around.
David Hamel Hearts and crystals for healing Jen Wiechers and Jaime Raynor met at a MicroCredit-NH networking event. Each felt like they'd met the other before, but weren't sure where or when. Months later they connected again at a friend's birthday party and discovered their shared passion for crystals and healing.
Jaime was looking for someone to design jewelry using crystals to help her clients in their healing processes. Jen was making beautiful jewelry, but she longed to find a way to help people heal traumas. Before long, Jewelry With Intention was born. Jen joined the business group Jaime attended and together they created Living Your Intentions, located at 272 Main St. in Keene. Living Your Intentions provides products and services using crystal healing, chakra balancing and meditation to help people recognize and develop their own abilities to heal themselves and lead rewarding and fulfilling lives. Jen and Jaime plan to launch an online store in a couple weeks – watch for it!
